With over 25 years in software development, I’ve seen the full spectrum of what technology can do for a business — and what happens when it’s implemented poorly.
I founded MRU Consulting after years of watching construction companies struggle with ERP systems that were supposed to make their lives easier. Instead, they were drowning in manual workarounds, duplicated data entry, and reports that were always two weeks stale.
The problem wasn’t the software. Vista by Viewpoint is a powerful platform. The problem was that most consultancies approach ERP work as a configuration exercise. They don’t write code. They don’t understand databases at a deep level. They can’t build custom solutions when the out-of-the-box features don’t fit.
